S P E A K E R P R O F I L EDan Cottrell has served as the preaching minister of the Southern Hills Church of Christ in Franklin, Tennessee, for almost nineteen years. He has been preaching for fifty years. Dan holds Master of Arts degrees in both Bible and Communication and the doctorate in Educational Administration. He has appeared on several lectureships and held over 200 gospel meetings. He is also the author of two books, two tracts, and many articles. Dan and his wife, Linda, have three children, two sons and a daughter, and five grandchildren. Bill Watkins preaches at a 1200 member church in Nashville, TN called Crieve Hall church of Christ. He was formally educated at Freed-Hardeman University, David Lipscomb University, Southern Christian University, and Florida International University, but admits that he was really educated through growing up with 3 siblings; preaching at churches in Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas and learning from his family. Bill has been married to Beverly for 37 years and they have 5 children and 14 grandchildren. Joe Wells travels the country as a frequent speaker for youth and family events. He is currently a writer for Think magazine and the editor of the Christian teen magazine, Kaio, both published by Focus Press. Joe has served God in a public way since 2000 in the capacity of youth minister and gospel preacher, helping people make the connection with the Word of God and encouraging them to be transformed for Christ. Other than God, his passion lies with his beautiful wife, Erin, and their three children, Colton, Michala, and Camden. Al Bugg has been serving as the Education/Associate Minister for the Woodbury Church of Christ (near Nashville, TN) for the last 16 years. He also ministered to the West Branch Church of Christ for 6 years. He was raised in Troy, MI and received a Bachelors degree in Religious Education from Michigan Christian College and a Masters of Education from Middle Tennessee State University. Al is married to Kathy Barbier, and they are raising and homeschooling their 8 children, ages 2-14 yrs old. Jose Nunez is originally from Venezuela and moved to Orlando, FL in 1999. He worked as the Inner City youth minister and helped to establish a Hispanic congregation for the Concord Church of Christ and then was the youth minister for the Roseville Church of Christ. He currently works in the engineering field in Belleville, PA and serves as a deacon for the Lewistown church of Christ helping with the youth and encouraging young Christians. He is married to Karina and has two beautiful daughters: Mia (6yrs) and Isabel (2yrs). Congregations that sponsor and rotate hosting the lectureship.
